Certification Part I & Part II
Northern Safety Solutions Inc. is an approved provider by the WSIB for Certification Training for the Joint Health and Safety Committees to Ontario Employers.
There are two valid reasons for having Certified Members at your Workplace:
1. THE LAW. Any workplace with 20 or more workers is required to have a functioning safety committee.
That committee is required to have two WSIB Certified Members…one Management Member appointed
by Management and one Worker Member elected by the workers.
2. BEST PRACTICE. Certification Part I and II training provides the health and safety training
component for managers and supervisors ensuring the competency of managers and supervisors as set
out by OSHA.
Classroom Training with Northern Safety Solutions Inc.
• Small class sizes for best possible learning.
• Certification Part I is a two day session.
• Certification Part II is a one day session.
• For Part I, Each user will receive a Training Package with a copy of the OHSA, the Ministry explanatory
materials for the JHSC, a Participants Manual and other samples and tools.
Online Training with Northern Safety Solutions Inc.
• Connect to the site from any Internet connection…high speed not required.
• Certification Part I takes from 8 to 10 hours for most users.
• Certification Part II takes from 4-8 hours depending on the number of training modules selected for your
workplace.
• System is easy to navigate with many learning opportunities.
• We offer a “practice evaluation” prior to the WSIB Evaluation (Part I).
• For Part I, Each user will receive by mail a Training Package with a copy of the OHSA, the Ministry
explanatory materials for the JHSC, a Participants Manual and other samples and tools.
